ICISF-Canada is pleased to offer the ICISF Courses: “Assisting Individuals in Crisis” and “Group Crisis Intervention” taught by experienced ICISF Approved Instructors Jeff Sych and Malcolm McNeill as part of the development of the Alberta Critical Incident Provincial Network.
Basic Training in ICISF CISM hosted by Coalhurst Fire Department and Coaldale & District Emergency Services and Sponsored by OHS SPHIFR 2021-2022 grant cycle. This is a four-day course for emergency service personnel interested in being part of a provincial Peer Support network and is designed to teach participants the fundamentals of, and a specific protocol for, incident assessment, strategic planning, individual (one-on-one) crisis intervention techniques, informational group crisis techniques, and interactive group crisis techniques.

*The Registration fee of $550.00 is required to be paid in full to Coaldale & District Emergency Services to reserve a seat. Partial training costs are sponsored by a SPHIFR grant. Training manuals, materials and certificates are included.
Registration is limited to emergency service personnel in Alberta interested in adding to, or developing, a CISM Team integrated into their emergency service department and joining the ACIPN. This training is not suitable for victim services or other non-public safety personnel.
